Drum pump made by Lutz
Requirements and liquids in the market could not be more different. Large quantities, high pressures, viscous liquids, chemical resistance and many more features make the drum pump face a wide variety of challenges.
Drum pumps for pumping liquids from various containers
There is a suitable pump for every medium. Pumps made of polypropylene and PVDF are not affected by acids and alkalis. Pumps made of aluminium ensure that diesel and oil run like lubricated. Stainless steel is excellently suited for corrosive liquids - it has proven itself in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries. The extremely resistant Hastelloy C does not shy away from highly aggressive acids or alkalis. The choice is yours, whatever the application.
Due to the variety of thin- and viscous, neutral and aggressive, cold and hot, as well as flammable and non-flammable media to be pumped, it is necessary to have the right drum pump for every application.
When we at Lutz speak of a barrel pump, it consists of 2 main elements. An engine and a pumping station. The motor is the drive and is responsible for the pumping capacity of the different requirements. With its high-quality materials and resistance to the media, the pumping station ensures the safe transport of the liquids.
Thanks to the many variants of our products, we can supply suitable solutions for every challenge. Our portfolio is completed by corresponding spare parts and accessories.
Which immersion depth is required for which container? Canisters, hobbocks, barrels, IBC tanks and special containers of all kinds always pose this one question to users. Since most containers comply with a standard, this also simplifies the answer to the question of the correct immersion depth.
All standard Lutz pumping stations have been adapted to the corresponding container standards, resulting in immersion depths of 500 mm, 700 mm, 1000 mm and 1200 mm.
Lutz also has the optimal solution for special containers and pump sumps, because all pumping stations are available in individual special lengths from ~300mm up to more than 3 m length, which are specially manufactured for our customers.
Explosion protection is mandatory for flammable and highly flammable liquids, which are classified according to explosion group II (to EN/IEC 60 079-0). The hazardousness of gases increases from explosion group II A via II B to II C. The requirements placed on the drum pump used for these explosion groups increase accordingly.
The Lutz drum pump in explosion proof design offers highest possible protection when handling highly flammable, combustible materials and in explosive environments. It is designed in stainless steel (stainless steel 1.4571) and Hastelloy C. It meets all international standards and regulations and complies with the directives according to Atex 2014/34/EU and IEC Ex.
